It was Monday morning and I was on a call with a dozen others who are my peers. Each of us helps the small business owner with their businesses in one way or the other. It was at the end of the call and we were each sharing our websites and going over how to make little improvements here and there. Time was running out and there was just enough time for one more website review, I volunteered. As my site was coming up for all to see suddenly the screen turned a maroon red with an outline of a security officer with his hand stretched out and the words of"do not precede malware threat." There was more but I was too horrified to recall precisely what it said. I was concerned on being destroyed plus humiliated that the people on the telephone had seen me so vulnerable that I had spent more information hours.



Cloning, as it applies to clean hacked wordpress site, is the act of creating an exact copy of your WordPress install. What is good is that you can do it in just a few clicks. There are a number of reasons why you may want to do this. Here are just a few.

Don't depend on your Web host - Many men and women rely on their web host to"do all that technical stuff for me", not realizing that sometimes, they do not! Far better to have the responsibility lie rather than out of your control.

Maintain control of your assets - Nothing is worse than having your livelihood in somebody else's hands. Why take chances with something as important as your website?

Note that you should only try this last step for new installations. You will also have to change all the table names within the database, if you would like to do it for existing installations.

Oh . And by the way, I talked about plugins. Make sure it's a safe one, when you get a plugin. Do not install any plugin because the owner is saying that plugin can allow you to do that or this. Use get a software engineer to analyze it, or maybe a test blog to check the plugin. This way is not a threat for your business or you.
